Matt Hogan

A native Marylander, Matt attended college in Gunnison, Colorado at Western State Colorado University where he received a B.A. in Business Administration with an emphasis on Hotel and Resort Management. After owning successful hospitality and design businesses & competing as a professional skier/snowboarder in the outdoor adventure Mecca of Crested Butte, CO, Matt moved to Costa Rica in 2006 and fell in love with the Southern Zone. After finding a rainforest mountain slated for timber harvest, he founded and created Finca Bellavista, a treehouse resort community. Finca Bellavista is famous for being known as the world’s first master-planned sustainable treehouse community, this project has been flourishing for over sixteen years in Costa Rica’s Southern Zone.

With an eye towards responsible development and environmental stewardship, Matt guides his clients with a keen sense for sustainable investments and shares his passion for the lifestyle and opportunity that this part of the country represents. Matt brings a wealth of valuable knowledge to the table as a local business & property owner, and also has three decades worth of construction experience, a hospitality background, and a genuine care for the local community. Given his broad base of experience in Costa Rica, he has a very solid grasp of real estate sales and their corresponding legal aspects, and is very well-qualified to be assisting with your property evaluation and search here in the magical Southern Zone.
